China is the world's most important market for the project logistics supply chain. Its huge domestic market creates a wealth of heavy cargo opportunities at home, while a world-leading manufacturing base generates myriad cargoes of all types of international infrastructure projects.

     Meanwhile,a global programme of international investments-led by the keynote Belt and Road Initiative(BRI)-has seen a new Silk Road emerge from the People's Republic to Europe's western border, and infrastructure inroads made across Africa, South America and Asia-Pacific.

     A rising tide lifts all boats, and China's economic growth will remain a key pillar in the resurgence of the project and heavy lift business internationally-even if that growth is imbalanced compared with that of its Western rivals. As markets rebalance, the participants must adapt.
