Singapore-headquartered Swire Shipping has opened a second office in Japan, adding Nagoya to its pre-existing premises in Tokyo.
“The opening of our new Nagoya office comes as Swire Shipping looks to strengthen and invest in our Westwood Service to better support our customers in this region,” said Chris Roberson, general manager – Asia and Northern Hemisphere
and country manager – Japan, Swire Shipping. The company offers direct services to the Pacific Northwest from ports in Japan and South Korea.
Robertson added: “Transitioning our representation in Nagoya to an in-house model will enable us to leverage local market expertise and facilitate more direct engagement with our customers.”
A Nagoya local with an extensive career in shipping, Yoshihiko Nakayama will head up the new office which is in the central business district of the city. Staff representing Swire Shipping at Millenium Shipping, previously Swire Shipping’s
