Xu LIU

Mr. Liu Xu currently serves as the Deputy General Manager of the Shanghai branch of COSCO Shipping Specialized Carriers Co., Ltd. (COSCO SHIPPING Specialized), and holds the title of Senior Engineer.

With a long-standing focus on the specialized shipping sector—including breakbulk, heavy lift, project cargo, and offshore installation—Mr. Liu has spent over two years at sea aboard multi-purpose heavy-lift vessels and semi-submersible ships. His voyages have taken him to numerous ports across Europe, Africa, Australia, North America, and Southeast Asia, providing him with invaluable hands-on experience in global route operations and the handling of complex cargoes.

Backed by a strong technical background and a global outlook, Mr. Liu has contributed to the strategic development, technological innovation, and business model transformation of COSCO SHIPPING Specialized’s fleet in his management roles. He has also been actively involved in the company’s pioneering efforts in designing tailored logistics solutions for complex cargoes and expanding its global liner service network.
